If you're hitting the road Wednesday, check your route first. Heavy rain Monday night flooded neighborhoods across Palm Beach County, and there were multiple requests for rescues overnight as drivers got stranded. The county activated its Emergency Operations Center to coordinate its response, and to handle the aftermath of Sunday's plane crash.
Severe conditions also hit West Palm Beach and parts of Boca Raton and Boynton Beach. Portions of Yamato, Lyons, Clint Moore and Glades roads had sporadic high water. Flights were delayed and cancelled at all South Florida airports, so check with your airline before you head out.
